StudiO+ has begun to create exclusive content including videos, music recordings and interviews with artists, participants, providers, and supporters. StudiO+ is collecting and sharing the stories of the O+ Festival and the O+ community as it grows and evolves. StudiO+ will eventually allow the O+ Festival to extend its art for health services, “The Art of Medicine for the Medicine of Art” into a year ’round activity. The exclusive material that comes out of StudiO+ sessions will be used to raise awareness of the O+ movement, to aid artists and performers in their own careers, and to support fundraising efforts at O+ when appropriate. As with all elements of the O+ Festival, StudiO+ is about people helping each other, to achieve a higher quality of life through creative community collaboration.

  • The Parlor

    • StudiO+
In this inaugural StudiO+ session, the O+ Festival interviews The Parlor, a small band hailing out of upstate New York. Core Parlor members, Eric Krans and Jen O'Connor, with two band-mates Tim Koch and Donna Baird talk about their positive experiences with the O+ Festival: how Donna got a cavity filled for the first time ever, how the fears of illness were alleviated and how Jen got a massage for the first time in her life. The Parlor at its core is Eric Krans and Jen O'Connor, partners who have written music together since their inevitable meeting in the elevator of a UMass Amherst dormitory in 1998.

  • Richard Buckner

    • StudiO+
Richard Buckner is a critically acclaimed American singer-songwriter who has been releasing meaningful, personal music with integrity for almost 20 years (1994 - 2013). In 2012, Richard performed at the third annual O+ Festival and received "priceless" dental work from several providers in exchange. Richard called it "one of the best gigs that I played all year". He is now a staunch supporter of O+. In August of 2013, Richard performed several of his compositions, (and one by Ted Lucas) for StudiO+ while speaking with Rob Galgano (RadiO+) at length about "falling between the cracks" when trying to attain health insurance as a musician in America.
